If I were the boss of Goodwood School...

If I was the boss of Goodwood School... I would let all
my friends have ice-cream and get a bouncy castle for the
playground and everyone could play on it in our whole
class. I would tell everyone to do what I say then the school
will look cool. Our whole class could have the iPads for a whole
week. I would make it be sunny all the time. I would make
all the teachers sit on the deck and Ruma Ruru would have
the staffroom for ourselves.

I am the boss of Goodwood School! I would bring a bouncy castle
to Goodwood School. If I was the boss of Goodwood School
I would bring a pool to Goodwood School fro us to swim in. I would
bring iPads for Ruma Ruru. I would bring everyone loads of lollies.
I would bring a water slide for all in Ruma Ruru.

If I was the boss of Goodwood School... I would get an ice-cream.
I would get the teachers to sit on the deck and the Ruru's would be
in the staffroom drinking milo. The Ruru's could go to
Lollipops Playland. It would be fun. I would only let Ruma Ruru
go on the bouncy castle - not the others. I would let everyone
go to Candyland and Ruru's could have cake for lunch!

Harold and Life Ed

Harold and Nicky are visiting us for the next two weeks. Harold is going to be talking to us about friendships. We will visit him in his BIG truck (that arrives on Tuesday afternoon).

We can learn more about Harold and what he does on this website...

In other news...

we have so much to show you - last week we wrote about 'If we were the Boss of Goodwood School...' with some great ideas on a few changes we would make! We are going to publish them during reading time early this week and then we will show you!

Thank you... thank you.... thank you...

Ruma Ruru and Ruma Tieke want to say the BIGGEST thank you to all the Mums and Dads who made cupcakes and to those that could help sell them and to all the people who bought a cupcake (or several) today and to those who sold some at their workplace.

To date we have raised $298 ... with more to come.

Thank you also to the senior children who worked alongside us with their inquiries.

We have had a wee mishap with the photos this morning  - we are working to solve the problem, however, we may have 'lost' the photos. This sometimes happens and it is okay. The day was about the effort for the SPCA and we achieved this.

A part of our inquiry has been exploring the idea that 'little things can make a big difference' - we certainly feel the meaning of that after todays efforts.

Again... thank you.... thank you... thank you!

Ruma Ruru - can you and your parents share your thought about cupcake day on the wall wisher?

Thanks to Jonte's Mum for this photo!

Cupcake Day Preparation

Thank you to all the Mums and Dads who are helping us make cupcakes today for Cupcake Day tomorrow.

All the money raised will go to the SPCA.

Here are a couple of photos Jonte sent through showing what he is doing for Cupcake Day.

See you in the morning.
