Making Magic with Mates.

In Ruma Ruru the moments outside the classroom help make the moments inside our classroom. We like to know about each other so we can help each other learn.

Here is a magical moment yesterday at Ben's party.

P.S Check out his cake - go RURU!

Happy Birthday Ben - you can be very proud of all your achievements in your first year at school!

Congratulations to....

Lily and Emma the proud recipients of this week's certificates....

Lily - you are confidently sharing your wonderful ideas more and Emma - you are using your number SMART to solve our place value problems using hundreds, tens and ones.

Caring for Others...

As a country school we have our Ag Day coming up early next term.

Here is Lucy with her lamb - Cuddles.

Lucy and her Mum had this to say when they emailed through the photo...

Here's a pic with Lucy and her lamb "Cuddles" when we first got her.  Cuddles has grown heaps since then as she has now worked out how to drink a bottle and Lucy is being a great mum.

If anyone in Ruma Ruru has something they would like to share about their exploring of life outside of school - simply email Ms Copping.

Emergency Poncho

Sometimes 'freebies' come your way in life... Ms Copping had some CASE emergency ponchos and she gave us a couple each.

She thought that we might keep them in the car in case we needed them or wear them at the rugby or an outdoor family concert...

BUT.....

she was wrong!

Ashleigh prepared for unexpected rain!

Hannah looking good in CASE of unexpected rain!

Ruben the Road Safety Bear

Ruben visited all the juniors at school today to share his road safety message around cars and buses.

Lachlan and a few other juniors helped Ruben show us safety tips and ways to move on and around roads safely.

Lachlan (Explorer for today) helping Ruben

Ruben liked Mrs Smith!

We danced with Ruben.

We had our photo with Ruben.

What did safety tip did you learn from Ruben?

Congratulations Ashleigh and Hannah

Congratulations to Hannah and Ashleigh - you proudly received our class certificates at Friday's assembly.

Hannah for your creativity and good ideas during our drama unit on The Lighthouse Keepers Rescue and Ashleigh for making her writing more interesting and for her obvious excitement about her writing.

A cute number from the Junior Choir

Last term the junior choir had its debut performance in front of an audience - the rest of the school.
