Money Man

This morning The Money Man from ASB bank visited our room. He spoke about needs vs wants, that EFTPOS cards are NOT magic cards and taught us to order coins and notes. He even had a few songs to teach us about money, money, money!

Taking charge of our learning...

At school we take charge of our own learning... here are some of the spelling games we do. We are looking at rhyming words and compound words
... we spot them everywhere - in our reading books and poems, in town, in the newspaper and we use them in our writing!

ANZAC Biscuits

This morning we made ANZAC biscuits with our Buddy Class. Here are our thoughts about our baking.. We measured out the ingredients - Lachlan. There was coconut in the biscuits - Hannah. We put sugar in - Saoirse. We got to eat them! - Lucy. We washed the dishes - Baxter. We had some ANZAC bikkies - Jonte. We liked baking the ANZAC biscuits with our buddy class - Luke. They were delicious - Jess.

Purr-fect! vs Perfect!

This week our shared book is Purr-fect! We know this is play upon words for the word perfect. THEN...Lucy discovered she has a shirt with purr-fect on it. We think that is perfect!

First Day Back at School for Term 2

Today we have had a great day back at school. It is fun to see everyone and hear all the news from the holidays. We have welcomed four new people into our class - they are great! We are looking forward to writing tomorrow and Ms Copping has a surprise for us on Friday - we can't guess what it is. Today we have talked about ANZAC Day - can you help us learn anything more about it? From Ruma Ruru Tamariki.

Hi Ruma Ruru

Welcome to our class blog. This is the place where we will share our learning with others and learn more about the world around us.

Rest up and have fun during the holidays - I am looking forward to the many adventures we will have in Term 2.

You can leave a comment on here telling me what you are up to for the holidays.

From Ms Copping

P.S Mr Dog loved having a sleep in this morning AND he has already had a sneaky bit of chocolate too! I think he is going to have a great holiday.
