Well! We arrived at school on Monday with several ideas that we discussed and modified.
Here we are cutting holes and planting our mesclun salad plants. We have also put holes in the bottom of the bag for drainage. We will water them a little bit every day.

Luke making sure the hole is deeper enough. |

Lily and Saoirse - teamwork works! |

Moving the bag to outside our room. |
We also weeded the garden outside Ruma Tieke and planted some sunflower seeds...

The seeds - lots of different varieties of sunflowers. |

We will water them a little every day. |
What a great day you Rurus had.
ReplyDeleteHi Ruma Ruru,
ReplyDeleteMy garden is full of peas, silverbeet, parsley, tomatoes, corn, strawberries, broccoli and cabbages. I also like to have flowers like lobelia, borage and sunflowers dispersed thru my gardens as it helps to encourage the bees!! I love gardening!
Love from Yvette (Hannah's mum)
keep up the good work!
What fantastic gardeners you all are!!! Keep up the great work Ruru's. Love Jo (Lucy's mum)
ReplyDeleteThis will be so cool watching all the different types of sunflowers grow. they will look so pretty out by our class room. we had a look this morning at the mesclun salad and I think it has already grown a little bit. It is such a great feeling growing and eating our own food
